Pollard House community project

My brief from the residents’ group at Pollard House, near Kings Cross, London, was to brighten up the corridor leading to their courtyard garden, and to link the inside and outside of the block of flats.

The space was narrow and dull, so I chose to use organic shapes, stylised flowers based on anemones, passion fruit and a Wysteria to add height. The three sections of design were linked by a mirrored trellising in the background, that was inspired by the wonderful architecture at nearby Kings Cross Station.
