I can recommend Sue’s courses wholeheartedly, whether you’re a complete beginner or have some mosaic skills already. As a complete novice, I thoroughly enjoyed my first one-day course, so much so that I then enrolled into one of Sue’s longer blocks of classes, so that I could tackle something a little more ambitious. And I’m still a regular 18 months later! Sue ‘guides’ you towards the end product through suggestions and encouragement, whilst letting everyone’s individuality shine through, which I think is a key skill as a teacher. Sue’s classes are relaxed and friendly and everyone is encouraged to work at their own pace and to develop their own style.

Sue has run weekend courses at my home in York for friends and for my workplace colleagues as a ‘team away day’. Sue’s style is informal, and she is keen to let people develop their own ideas with her encouraging coaching style. We always have a fun and sociable time, and under Sue’s experienced guidance have produced some fabulous pieces for homes and gardens. Many people return for more and there’s an increasing number of us getting hooked!
I had a one day one-to-one introduction to mosaics with Sue. I learned all the basics to get me started in a fun, creative and encouraging environment. I’m now working on my own mosaic.
