Shadwell community project

I was commissioned by Peabody housing to create a mosaic for their improved Shadwell estate near the Thames in north-east London.

The location of the estate is reflected in the design, as well as bringing colour and meadow flowers to the urban environment. In the background of the design the Thames, the docklands skyline, and Tower Bridge, are depicted.
At the request of residents and children living in the flats, two further mosaics for their Blocks ‘A’ and ‘B’ were created in a complementary style.
